If the Internet gave everyone access to infinite information, AI has given us access to infinite skills.
Managing these skills effectively will help you move beyond using AI as a research assistant, and into training an AI agent like a new hire on their first day of work.
If you hire a capable new employee, you don't simply at a project and say, “Go, good luck, yolo.” You would explain the goal, show them how the different pieces of the work fit together, articulate what a successful result is, and provide feedback as they go.
AI agents need the same kind of management.
In this hands-on workshop, we’ll explore the surprisingly human skills required to delegate work effectively to AI. We’ll borrow from the disciplines of business analysis, project management, and coaching to map workflows from end to end, define clear outcomes, transfer useful context, and build feedback loops that help agents to improve.
You’ll use an Onboarding Interview to teach an AI agent how you work, the four worksheets in the SAGE framework to scope and delegate projects clearly, and practical techniques from the AI Working Group to decide which humans handle what.
Rather than automating isolated tasks, you’ll practice delegating an entire workflow: briefing the agent, reviewing its work, correcting its assumptions, and progressively increasing its autonomy.
In this workshop, you will:
- Map a workflow from beginning to end, including decisions, dependencies, inputs, outputs, and handoffs.
- Onboard an AI agent with the context it needs to work effectively.
- Scope projects with clear goals, constraints, responsibilities, and definitions of done.
- Give iterative feedback that improves the agent’s performance over time.
Bring a real workflow you would like to delegate. You’ll leave with a practical method for turning AI from a helpful chatbot into a capable member of your working team.
