What does it mean to become a Business Analyst when the profession itself keeps changing? In this online session, Jay Du draws on his own career journey and ideas from leading thinkers on career transitions to explore how BAs shape their professional identity, experiment with possible futures, and build the confidence and capabilities to keep evolving amid AI, shifting workplaces and non-linear career paths. Jay is a Senior Business Analyst with more than 20 years in ICT, including over a decade in business analysis across technology, financial services and public sector transformation in China and New Zealand. He works on a national healthcare programme, is VP Sponsorship for the IIBA New Zealand Chapter, and is an industry adviser to Victoria University of Wellington's Master of Professional Business Analysis programme.
The session is online from 6pm to 7pm NZ time on Tuesday 3 November 2026, hosted by the BA Career Meetup Group, with a 40-minute presentation followed by Q&A. It's free to join with an RSVP on Meetup and suits anyone starting out as a BA or rethinking their next career chapter.
