SUMMARY:AI Series Workshop: AI-Native Technical Practitioners Part Two
DESCRIPTION:Part two of Mountain Club's AI Series for technical practitioners focuses on deep implementation and agentic coding. It's for software engineers\, tech leads\, DevOps/SREs and test engineers who are already building agents\, custom tooling and automated workflows\, and it's an interactive session where peers discuss and demonstrate how they handle complex code generation and execution. Topics include context window engineering and codebase indexing (repository rule files\, system instructions\, dynamic context maps and semantic indexing)\, greenfield scaffolding versus legacy refactoring\, agentic loops and test-driven development\, and model selection and developer flow. It's led by James Bayly\, a Queenstown-based AI product engineer and technical founder who was previously co-founder and CTO of 8ai.\n\nIt runs from 12pm to 1pm on Wednesday 25 November at Mountain Club Five Mile in Frankton\, Queenstown\, with places limited to 12. Bring a laptop and be ready to show how you combine your tools....
