DESCRIPTION:The final session in AI Forum NZ's nationwide Sustainable AI Series asks whether New Zealand\, with its largely renewable electricity and cool climate\, should host AI infrastructure\, who would benefit\, who would control the data\, models and income\, and what the risks of doing nothing are. A Sustainable AI panel moderated by Louisa Taylor (Periscope Consulting) covers energy\, environmental impact\, resilience and local capability\, with Sam Kivi (DataGrid)\, Dr Jeremy Watson (University of Canterbury) and Blake Harkness (Harkness AI). A Sovereign AI panel moderated by Caelan Huntress (Ai Coaching Academy) looks at building lasting value from AI infrastructure\, data and models\, with Karaitiana Taiuru (AI Forum Kāhui Māori Advisory Panel) and Glen Willoughby (ISO\, formerly NASA and Singularity University Labs).
