DESCRIPTION:Not A Book Club is a new series of group conversations from Startup Queenstown Lakes and QLDC Libraries\, where each session takes an idea from a well-known business book and uses it to start a practical discussion about building something of your own. This first session draws on The Lean Startup by Eric Ries and its focus on testing ideas early and keeping spending low until you know what works. Rene from Startup Queenstown Lakes will lead a conversation about what stops people from getting started\, the common barriers\, and ways to make a first step feel more manageable.\n\nIt runs from 5:30pm to 7pm on Thursday 29 October at Wānaka Library\, 1 Bullock Creek Lane\, Wānaka. Entry is free\, but registration is required and spaces are limited. It's for anyone with an idea for a business\, side hustle or creative project\, including people who are just exploring. You don't need to have read the book\, have business experience or have a finished plan.
