TEDxFuture School Youth

TEDxFuture School Youth is an independently organised TEDx event on the theme "Future, Rewritten". Researchers, thinkers and students give short talks of under ten minutes across three threads: Future of Learning, Future Skills and Future Dreams. The talks question long-held assumptions about school, such as start times, lesson length and exam schedules. Alongside the talks, an expo shows student projects including apps, 3D-printed models, live builds and a 48-hour short film. A passport system rewards attendees for talking with the makers.

The event runs from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday 15 November 2026 at B:HIVE, Smales Farm, 72-74 Taharoto Road, Takapuna, on Auckland's North Shore. Doors and the expo open at 11:00am, talks start at 11:55am sharp, and the expo reopens with food from 1:10pm to 2:00pm. It is hosted by Future School. Tickets are NZ$20 and seats are limited. Talks will be filmed for the TEDx YouTube channel. It suits students, educators, parents and anyone interested in the future of learning and skills in Aotearoa.
