The 2026 Wellington UniVentures & Booster NZ Showcase celebrates how New Zealand university research is being transformed into globally relevant companies. A highlight of the evening is a panel discussion with Kerri McMaster, CEO of Goodair Nosebuds; Justin Hodgkiss, co-founder and CEO of Advemto; and Shieak Tzeng, co-founder and CEO of Wellumio. The event brings together researchers, founders, investors and industry leaders to showcase the national opportunity to turn university research into high-growth companies by backing university spinouts.
It takes place from 5:30pm on Thursday 29 October 2026 in Lecture Theatre 1, Rutherford House (RHLT1), Bunny Street, Pipitea Campus, Victoria University of Wellington. Registration is required and the event is currently full, with new registrations going onto a waitlist. It is aimed at researchers, founders, investors and industry leaders interested in university spinouts and research commercialisation.
