AI security for SaaS scaleups

AI Security for SaaS Scaleups is a hands-on KiwiSaaS member workshop for engineering and security leaders on the new security exposure AI creates for SaaS companies. Led by Simon Howard, Executive Director of Bastion Security Group, it covers emerging AI vulnerability classes such as prompt injection, agent tool use and privilege, retrieval poisoning and supply-chain risks, anonymised case studies from incident response, and what protections are proportionate at different company sizes. Short presentations come from Grant Anthony (Orion Health and HEALWELL.ai), Ben Wicks (Plexure) and Andre Groen (AoFrio), and roughly a third of the session is spent in hands-on lab exercises.

It runs from 9am to 12pm on Thursday 12 November 2026 at Plexure, Level 2, 4 Graham Street, Auckland, with a light lunch to follow; attendees should bring a laptop. This workshop is open only to large KiwiSaaS members ($5m+ ARR) and is free for them, with registration through Humanitix. Places are limited and Chatham House rules apply. It is for CTOs, CISOs, heads of engineering, platform leads and security leads at KiwiSaaS large-member companies.
