Go-to-(Global)-Market from Day One

Go-to-(Global)-Market from Day One is a workshop with Doug Bohaboy, GTM Principal at GD1, who has nearly 20 years of experience building and running global sales, marketing and customer success teams in B2B technology companies. He will demystify early-stage, high-growth startup go-to-market in three parts: avoiding the trap of building for a tiny market and using NZ strategically, running world-class customer discovery, and defining and iterating your Ideal Customer Profile. The session is presented with the UC Centre for Entrepreneurship, GD1 and Startup Aotearoa.

It takes place on Tuesday 20 October 2026 at the Christchurch Startup Hub (Ministry of Awesome), 829 Colombo Street, Christchurch, with doors and networking from 12pm, the workshop from 12:15pm and closing networking until 1:30pm. Office-hour slots for UC Centre for Entrepreneurship and Ministry of Awesome founders follow in the afternoon. Entry is free, and it suits Aotearoa founders, especially first-time founders and those with little commercial experience.
