Powerskill Panel – Unlearning to Lead: How AI is Rewriting the Rules of Leadership
Thursday, 15 October 2026 • 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM
Auckland CBD, Auckland
BNZ Place, 80 Queen Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010
This Powerskill Panel from Her Tech Circle, hosted in partnership with BNZ, explores what women leaders are having to unlearn to lead effectively in an AI-augmented workplace, from command-and-control instincts and perfectionism to gatekeeping expertise, and what is replacing them. The conversation covers leadership habits that need to be actively unlearned, why asking the right question now matters more than having the right answer, leading when tools change faster than the org chart, and what trust looks like when delegating to an AI system. Panellists are Olivia Dyet (Founder and CEO, Empathix), Lucy Mansfield (CMO, Lumin) and Korrin Balmain (Change and Partnership Director, Dynamo6), moderated by Her Tech Circle co-MDs Karen Katz and Renece Brewster.
It takes place on Thursday 15 October from 5:30pm to 8:30pm at BNZ Place, 80 Queen Street, Auckland CBD. Entry is free with a ticket booked through Humanitix, and tickets are checked at the door. It's aimed at individual contributors stepping up into leadership, new and emerging leaders in tech, and current leaders looking for fresh perspectives, and anyone passionate about supporting women in tech is welcome.
