Lunch & Learn with Mat Weir

Startup Queenstown Lakes hosts a Lunch & Learn with Mat Weir, founder of First Table, the platform that connects restaurants with empty tables to diners looking for a good deal. Mat will share what he has learned taking First Table from a Queenstown idea to a platform operating across multiple markets, focusing on building a two-sided marketplace and go-to-market. It is an informal conversation with plenty of time for questions and discussion.

It runs from 12pm to 2pm on Wednesday 7 October 2026 at First Table's office, Level 1, 50 Stanley Street, Queenstown. It is free to attend with lunch included, but limited to 12 places, so registration through Humanitix is required. It suits anyone building something, exploring a marketplace idea, or interested in what it takes to grow a business, and is supported by Invest South.
