TechTuesday – October 2026

Canterbury Tech's monthly TechTuesday shakes up its usual format this October with 10x2 Power Talks, where local tech thinkers, builders and leaders get ten auto-advancing slides and exactly two minutes each. Speakers include Chloe Sabbadin, Dan Randow, Soo May Yuan, Caelan Huntress and Takahiro Okada, on topics from employer branding and AI product messaging to the growth of datacentres. Host Foodstuffs South Island's Anna Dillon, Nathan Currie and Jonathan Reuben will also talk about CCTV and facial recognition, and infrastructure automation and DevSecOps.

It runs on Tuesday 6 October from 5pm to 7pm at Foodstuffs South Island, 167 Main North Road, Northcote, Christchurch, with presentations from 5:30pm and networking from 6:30pm. Entry is free for Canterbury Tech members, who can each bring one guest free, and $35 for non-members, with registration through Humanitix. It is an easy night to introduce someone new to Christchurch's tech community, and is sponsored by Stratos Technology Partners and Nonsuch.
