Digital Trust Hui Taumata 2026

The Digital Trust Hui Taumata is Aotearoa New Zealand's flagship gathering for digital identity, trust technology, and the governance frameworks that underpin them, created by Tech New Zealand and Digital Identity New Zealand (DINZ). Under the 2026 theme, Towards Universal Trust, the day opens with a joint keynote from Drummond Reed and Dr Karaitiana Taiuru, pairing global trust architecture with tikanga-informed digital governance and Māori data sovereignty. The programme moves from trust as infrastructure in the morning to practical adoption in the afternoon, closing with the Trust Compact, where organisations make concrete commitments ahead of 2027.

The Hui runs at Te Papa on Cable Street in Wellington from 9am on Tuesday 11 August 2026.
